Next Steps

These steps are for anyone who has made Jesus their Lord and Savior. Whether you're new to following Him or have been for years, it provides simple steps to help you grow closer to Jesus, connect with His church, and build relationships with other believers.

The Gospel

You've likely heard the Gospel at one of our FCA events, and I thank God that the Holy Spirit stirred your heart. Click the link below to watch videos on how FCA shares the Gospel through what we call "The Four." Receiving the Gospel for yourself and sharing it with others is a vital part of living as a Christian.

God's Word

Reading your Bible is essential for understanding Jesus and His love for you. We recommend beginning with the New Testament book of Matthew; you can find it easily using your Bible's Table of Contents.

If you don't have a Bible, please click here to fill out a form, and we'll make sure you receive one as soon as possible.

FCA also offers some excellent reading plans available through The Bible App, which you can access on both Android and Apple devices.

Grow in Prayer

Prayer is a way to communicate directly with God. Thanks to Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, you have the privilege of approaching God through prayer. You can pray by speaking to God silently, aloud, or by writing in a journal. Here are some prompts to help you get started:

  • A - Adoration: Take a moment to express your love for God.
  • C - Confession: Acknowledge any sins. Sin refers to anything you say, do, or think that goes against God's will.
  • T - Thanksgiving: Share what you’re grateful for.
  • S - Supplication: Bring your desires and requests before God.

Bonus Tip: Approach God just as you are. If you ask Jesus for help, He will be there for you

Connect to a local church

It's important for followers of Jesus to be part of a local church. FCA works with many great churches, and we can help you find one nearby.
